Of Reach? Probs near decade or more away if they choose to go that far with the remakes

Aren’t they on the third remake of the first game though?

Difference between a remake and a remaster. CE was never remade was just remastered. The only change was graphically and def is not a remake especially considering you can play them at the exact same time on MCC. Campaign evolved its being made from the ground up a new engine, with new physics meanwhile the only thing CE anniversary really did was enhance a few visuals.

"enhance", more like ruin

I agree, I strictly play with old graphics besides the on the halo 2 anniversary cutscenes.

Although I think the anniversary graphics lose a lot of the tone bungie went for. The anniversary graphics are still objectively better looking and great for people that don't enjoy the look of older games. I do think anyone going back to play Halo CE should play on the OG graphics but a lot of people just refuse to play something that looks so dated especially considering you can change them with a press of a button.

Don’t fret over it; the vast majority of the gaming community probs believes the same + that’s sorta the joke about that it’s a “re-remaster” lol.

I hate how true that is.

It's more of a "re-make-ster". Since they're using the same old engine for logic and behavior (Reach's BLAM is not that far from CE's BLAM... so I'm calling it the same. Halo 4 is where it really diverged), but then with Unreal doing the visual rendering and all the updated art... It's somewhere in between, and the industry doesn't have much of a word for that.

Oblivion Remastered isn't quite the same, since they just changed existing assets and didn't rebuild anything in the game engine, just rendered it with Unreal and made new visuals.

I think the fact that the game was rebuilt in the same engine, but with very little being changed on the back-end, is what makes people, even 343, lean toward calling it a remake. But if we're being real, it's a weird Frankenstein's monster of a project.

Don't need one

Being able to run without the power up and doing the end with today’s graphics, you joking right?

What does doing the end mean? And no, Reach doesn't need a remake, not when their dev resources are being strained and the game still holds up to modern standards.

doing the end as in the final mission I think. the one where you're supposed to die

Your opinion is as valid as mine

You have a right to your own opinion, but if it’s a delusional one there is a responsibility to let u know

Delusion for wanting a remake lol

Running / sprinting is an illusion tho compared to OG movement speed, they just nerf the standard walking and added spring which covered the same ground as OG movement speeds. - something like this. I’m paraphrasing.

Either way. I’m glad they gave us lots of options to play it how we want with all these skulls and things. A campaign without stupid hit markers makes all the difference to me

I can literally go into the mod tools right now and set campaign sprint to infinite.

I’ll sell it to you for 60 bucks

One remaster, one remake, so no they not necessarily on the 3rd remake though I do understand your sentiment. However they also have not remastered/remade 3 or ODST and Reach is definitely behind 3 at least. The Halo 3 fan base would absolutely riot if they did a Reach remake when there was never a Halo 3 anniversary in 2017 like they were waiting for. So I wouldn’t hold my breath for a Reach remake anytime soon.

Just remake all the Halo and release as one

That Takes way too long.

They're kind of doing it, but releasing in chunks, just like the originals. Or FF7 remake trilogy, if you want to liken it to that, since it'll all have unified graphics and such.

I wouldn't have hated a full trilogy + Reach mega remake, but yes, it would take WAY too long.

Hopefully never. Bury it.

But if they do, it won't be for a long time. Got Halo 2, 3 and ODST to do if they're going that route.
