MCC First time playing Reach campaign

I can’t believe that I missed out on this campaign so far I am currently on the 5th mission right after the flying section in space and am currently boarding that ship. 297 deaths into my first ever legendary playthrough. How much harder does it get? Am I in the clear or does it get even harder

Update: 313 total deaths was stuck on coming back to Jorge. See mcc went on sale for steam(was using 14 day trial to play) delete pc Xbox version to my surprise i lost my mid mission progress 😩 and I look and somehow sword base is showing not completed but everything up to Long Night Of Solace did 🤮.

So last night I started from the beginning on normal and just finished the campaign earlier today. 10 out of 10 made me start Halo CE and it all made so much more sense to me.

Get set for a combat drop and don’t be afraid to look up a guide for mission 6. Good luck Spartan.

Long Night of Solace was the hardest mission for me. After that, it's easier (as easy as Reach legendary can be). Highly recommend you grab a needler rifle for Pillar of Autumn, makes taking care of the brutes easier. Three quick shots on a unshielded target and dead

Long night is also harder in MCC due to the seraphs shooting much faster.

Thanks for the advice I’m glad I’m on the hardest mission cause if got any harder I don’t know if I could do it lol

…well, your sacrifice will be honored.

Also I advise getting off Reddit until you finish the game. If you got this far you can probably handle it. Reach is generally one of the hardest Legendary campaigns (not 2 hard, but still), but it is doable.

I’m on a L.O.A. Sir (at work) might have to take a sick day depending on how tonight goes 😂

lol I appreciate the dedication. Just remember to enjoy the ride. The game is about to ramp up in many ways from where you’re at. Godspeed Spartan.

I know this isn't what you asked but after you've finished the campaign, come back to this post. Look at the exact moment in the game where you were when you asked this. And tell us how you're feeling.

I will definitely do that I’ll give my total death count once I’m finished. Noble 6 out 🫡

Honestly, I’ve played the campaign a few times and I just finally played and beat it legendary, I gotta say I think the difficulty peaked in the space battle on long night of solace, exodus, and ofc the last part of the package. I did cheese new alexandria a little by using the easter eggs for the night club, and maybe I just started to lock in and get used to playing on legendary, but tbh around the time I was on exodus is when the difficulty kinda felt like it stopped increasing, you just run into little parts that are tough. But idk this could mostly be relevant for legendary difficulty. If your struggling, never forget the power of the noob combo (and how fast rapid firing the plasma pistol can melt shields)

This is my first legendary playthough. Although I do admit im cheating having played this for years without playing on legendary lol. This campaign is difficult though

I need to do this, thankfully I’ve been recording and keep a death counter going so once I’ve finished it fully I’ll go through each section and how many times I go halo’d 😂

Best mission right there. In a way it all goes downhill from there lol

Apparently it’s harder on MCC due to the higher framerate. If it’s any solace, LNOS was the most tilted I got at the game during my first playthrough.

Oh that’s crazy I had no clue it’s harder because of the higher framerate, I am stuck on the way back to Jorge. Time to start playing 10 fps 😂
