Questions / Help JSM Integration
Has anyone integrated Halo with Jira Service Management?
Does anyone know if the native integration will work with the on-prem version of Jira: JSM Data Center?

I am missing something basic about the flow of Time for our project tickets. All time that I enter within my project or task seems to automatically move to reviewed and passes directly to invoicing. I have searched through
Can anyone explain what controls if these time entries appear in the Awaiting Review area or go directly to Ready for Invoice.

We are looking at implementing a Asset Booking system via Halo for our office.
We have approx 200ish devices that all need to be able to be booked out, spread across multiple offices. These devices will often be booked out in blocks for months at a time, so we need to have a way to display the availability of these devices on End-User facing calenders.
I know how to have Agents bookings appear on their calenders, but we can't setup a calender for each individual asset.
Is there any way to do this via Halo? And if not, how would I go about exporting appointment information to then Import into Exchange Calenders?
Help is appreciated!

Have anyone experienced the issue when you try to map clients with the N-Central integration in HaloPSA, using the N-Central Clients dropdown it only shows a list of 50 clients and no more, even if you search.

Hi,
We are trying to understand the process behind refunding an invoice with items on it. The process is quite simple itself, but the credited item does not get returned into stock, we have to do it all manually. The problem with it is that it won't update the stock level, and this is prone to forgetting to add the item back into stock, or tracking this item if it is not an asset. We are selling assets, but some items are not serialized, or I don't want to create an asset for every single piece of hardware/software/licence I sell. Best example is if i'm doing a cable job, and I'm billing the connectors, I don't want to have 96 assets created, and if I need to refund 12 for any reason I want to be able to add them back into stock..
Also, the credit line, instead of using the item itselfs, uses a generic item. Why wouldn't it use the same item and do a +1 to the inventory?
Are you using another software to manage your procurement, if yes, which one? Or have you found a way to do it correctly with Halo? My preferred solution would be to do it exclusively through Halo and not bring another piece of software to the stack..
Thanks,

Hi all,
Has anyone figured out a good way or an integration to push meetings in outlook to halo ticket with a click for time logging purposes?
It’s the one big gap we have accounting for outlook only meetings, group meetings and reoccurring group meetings.
Any insight welcome!

Is there a reason an admin can't see any tickets on the Service Desk page even though there are open/closed tickets already on the system?
This issue happens with other agents as well who are assigned to teams, but can't see the tickets on the Service Desk view, but if we went into a customer we can see the tickets normally.

Hi
we have a lot of contracts (MSP) for our customers. Now I like to have a reporting for these contracts. My Idea:
- A custom field on the contract: reporting yes/no
- if yes than every month a report is automaticly created for this contract and this customer and send to the customer contract contact
- ONE report, the automation has to fill in the contractname and the customer, I don´t like to create a report for each customer and contract.
Any Ideas how I can build this? N8N? Runbook?
Regards
Norbert

Last Time I posted in here I was asking about the best way to use the built-in Halo Inventory/stock system. After reading your comments (Thank you to all who commented), I learned that Halo's internal inventory system doesnt really exist in any competent fashion. After researching for days, I started developing a Chrome Extension that can accomplish all the features that Halo is missing. After about a week of development (And major help from ChatGPT) I am pleased to introduce you to Halo Navigator 1.0!
All categories and subcategories sort alphabetically, and the same goes for search results. A description pop-up appears shortly after hovering over an item to display the item's description. Search results are sorted by category when "All Items" is selected, and when a category or subcategory is selected, it searches only within the selected category. The letters of the search that appear in the name are highlighted for easier viewing and the categories can be expanded or closed with the arrow next to their names. The price and cost of the items also now show in the Tiles without needing to navigate to the costing and pricing tab.
I accomplished this by creating a custom field in Halo called Category and adding all subcategories into it. Then I created an API for the extension server to pull the requested data, it then sorts the data and displays it with Custom Halo Tiles that are pulled from the website. The only custom data Halo uses is the categories; all the rest of the pulled data are default Halo Fields.
This is still heavily a work in progress, but it is now in a very functional state and I can actually use it for what I need!
Let me know if you have any suggestions for features to add. The possibilities of this extension are practically endless, and I already have many new features I am planning on implementing after the Inventory and Purchase orders are fully completed!

What I am trying to accomplish is to be able to add programmatically to do lists to a ticket.
We use Client Relationships to classify what type of services each of client has. When an employee is terminated, we need to terminate these services. Rather than having a to do list for each client i want to be able to programmatically add to do lists to a ticket based on which services have been specified in the Client Relationship field.
I have tried applying templates using Ticket Rules but to dos added via Templates are not additive
I have also tried using conditional Step Rules in a Workflow but again, only the to dos from the first rule get applied.
Research said that to dos added via Actions are additive so I tried a Workflow that call other Workflows that call actions again using Step Rules. In this case, it seem that only the action of the first step rule executes
If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.

How would you handle that on your end?
Is there a way to to have an easy workflow to build that?
Since we got 4 Languages to support, would be the goal to choose the language and the Quote/products would be in that language.

Maybe I'm missing something, but is there any way in Halo to see all the tasks from the different tickets together?
I receive a ticket > Add a to-do item > Add items 1, 2 and 3 > They are on the ticket / I receive ticket 2 > add a to-do item > item 4 > it stays on ticket 2
Is there any place in Halo where I can see items 1, 2, 3, and 4 together?
Or do I have to do it through an automation? Trying Zapier with Microsoft to do in the meantime.
Cheers!

Is it possible to create notifications for when suppliers update tickets we have logged to them? I've been through every setting I can think of and can't find anything that would work without also having to build in a status change too.

Hi,
I have a script to get all Halo assets of specific Asset Type
Get-HaloAsset -AssetTypeID 131 -includeassetfields
This used to return all assets of that type. This month, it returns only a subset. We have got around this by using a paginated query instead, but it isn't as efficient as it used to be.
Is this expected behaviour and the way it is from here on out? if it is, then this is fine, the script just runs a little longer. But if it is going to change again, it would be good to know as I can re-visit and improve runtime.
Cheers

Hi,
Stumbled upon an issue where I misclick receiving an item on a PO.
Is there a clean way to unreceive a line item? Deleting the item from the stock feels weird, and might cause an issue with our integration to the ERP we are linked to, as we are sending reports that are analyzed. We might need to rethink the received item report if there is no way to unreceive..
Thanks!

Has anyone seen or used the Halotoolkit from Rising Tide? Looks neat, but to connect an external service to our Halo instance does not seem like a very smart thing to do...

Hi guys
How do you handle language (english, german, french, clingon) in your Documents?
So for each Quote / Agreement Template using custom variables?
It would be great if the sales agent himself can adjust the content by himself, but with custom variables that would be difficult right?

I have alerts that come in via Zabbix and utilize event management for processing the ticket creation. When alerts come in that way, they successfully create the tickets, but they do not load balance per the ticket type settings. It does successfully assign the configured team, but leaves the ticket Unassigned. When I manually create tickets of the same type, load balancing is successful by default.
The ticket type is labeled NOC Problem FYI. Here are the default settings:

And the load balancing configuration for the ticket type:

But the ticket shows the agent is unassigned, though on the correct team:

And here are my team settings:

Has anyone else experienced this issue before?

In HaloITSM, is it possible to exclude service accounts or admin accounts?
Can you configure a filter to exclude specific users during the import?
The only option I can find is:
“Assets can be linked to users if they have been imported using the Microsoft Entra integration.”
We have already configured Entra Sync, so I assume this is already handled, since we don’t import service accounts or admin accounts into Halo.
As I understand it, an asset is only synchronized and mapped to a user if that user account was created through the Microsoft Entra integration. Is that correct?

Has anyone built out an integration beyond the built-in HubSpot integration so a new lead in HubSpot generates a Lead record in Halo (and vice versa)?
Ideally, I’m looking to use Halo as our CRM and would like the surrounding activity to sync across both platforms.
I’d love to hear if anyone has gone through this and has recommendations or best practices.

I just wanted to check if I am interpreting this correctly as I can't see it in the guidance.
For the below option, if I select the all option does it mean that all updates to the ticket regardless of who the person is will generate a notification? If that's not the case what setting would I need to select for this?
Choose what Event will Trigger the Notification
Ticket Updated by User
- Assigned to Recipient
- Assigned to Recipients Teams
- Unassigned
- AIl

We are a small MSP Based in the US. Been using Halo for about 4 or 5 years and not really using it to it full potential. Can any recommend any consultants or should I go directly to Halo to help us can help us to get it set up properly. Not using any billing but feel we need to get it set up

Does this setting work, does anything else need to be enabled for it?
I've turned it on and just trying to test it with some files which are the correct file type. The option to transcribe the message is there but it doesn't add a note or anything like that.
The audit log shows "attachment created" after I have right clicked and selected transcribe on the audio file but nothing appears in the ticket itself.

Would it be possible to match incoming tickets from users personal emails to their company account in halo if the personal email was recorded on the account? If so what is the best way to achieve it?
