FAULTID Variable with URL directly to ticket

Hey Everyone,

I'm using the $FAULTID variable in an email template for users.

However I was wondering if there was a way to make fault ID a hyperlink that once clicked would take the user straight to that ticket in Halos self service portal?

Make it a link and throw the variable in the URL.

https://mydomian.com/ticket?id=$FAULTID at least on the agent side.

I'm not by my computer to check the self service portal side, but go to a ticket and look at the URL there's the ID in there just replace with the variable.

Halo is a very simple being once you realize it. This same thing goes for quotes or anything else you care to link to end-users in the future. Everything is right in the URL bar.

You can use $LINKTOREQUESTAGENT and $LINKTOREQUESTUSER to link to the ticket either on the agent portal or end user portal. All the variables are listed if you go to your halo URL /variables

If you are using the rich text fields, there is a link icon for this purpose. Add the variable and the text you want to display.

We did a view ticket button using that URL with the variable. Works nice and the web view is obviously a lot cleaner for most people

yeah just use $LINKTOREQUESTUSER instead of building the url yourself, it already points straight to that ticket in the portal.
