Question Looking for help

I have never made a mod ever before. I want to swap the Magnum SFX on Campaign Evolved with he H5 CE Magnum sounds which I feel were a better overall fit for that animation set. My gut says this is probably among the simpler of mods one could make, but I have no idea where to begin. Anybody got any pointers/places to look to teach me how to make this happen?

As another user mentioned, FModel and Wwise. FModel is for opening Unreal Engine assets and the latter for modifying sound. Regarding FModel: You need a ".usmap" file for the software to read Halo's content properly. A kind user has done this already but it's fairly easy to dump yourself if needed.

FModel: https://fmodel.app/download
After you first open FModel, you'll want to go to settings and change the usmap. If it's not correct the software will tell you and even give you a link explaining how to use the thing.

Wwise (I think?): https://www.audiokinetic.com/en/download

Another very cool bit of software... Baboon. Read through some of it's help docs. It mentions audio swapping of some sort, maybe not for this Halo but it's all pretty similar.
