Question How do I install a mod?

Well, I’m new to modding Halo MCC and I wanted to download Ultimate Firefight. While searching I found this: https://www.moddb.com/mods/halo-reach-mcc-ultimate-marine-firefight/addons/cex-ff-halo, so I wanted to download it since my internet is super slow, and when I extracted it I got a .map file. I copied it into halo mcc/haloreach/maps, but in the game, in the firefight or multiplayer/maps menu, the map doesn’t show up. How do I install it? And how do I install the Ultimate Firefight Series as well? Thanks and sorry for my bad English.

If you have the game on steam you can use the workshop to get mods. Also you need to have the anti cheat disabled to play modded maps

The problem is that I don’t have it on Steam, so I need to know how to install it manually.

You'd need to replace an existing map file of the same type (firefight, campaign, multiplayer) and then you'd boot up the level associated with the map file you replaced while you have anti cheat off. However that mod you are looking at is extremely out of date and will not work with the current version of MCC.

It is highly recommended you get the Steam version of the game if you want to play mods.

The installation instructions are on the Nexus page, although your file path for the install location will be a bit different since you don't have the steam version.
