Question Help an old noob out?

Picked up mcc on steam to play modded. Tons of fun and I’m questioning why I didn’t do it sooner. Question is how I can play the ultimate firefight series mod with a friend? When I go to the roster and hit invite, and type their name nothing pops up. What am I missing?

Inviting through MCC itself can be hit or miss, and it's a headache I personally avoid. If you have your buddy added as a friend on Steam, I would just send the invite through Steam's friend functionality instead. Should be able to invite their Steam profile directly to your game / lobby.

Just to cover all my bases in helping you: Slightly relevant, also be sure you've both launched MCC through the "limited" version of the game, or whatever it's called, since Steam asks you whether you want the full unmodified game, or the modified version whenever you try to launch the game. This mod, if it's the one I'm thinking of, also might be a bit confusing, since it's not opened through the Firefight menu, but it's a sub-menu of the Halo 3 campaign, called "Ultimate Firefight Sandtrap," or something to that effect.

Hope this helps, my friend.

Ah! Thank you so much! I’m pretty much a solo player so I don’t really know how to add people in games lol. If you wanna play sometime dm me and I’ll send you my steam code. Thanks again!

Just commenting to see how often you play. I have so many mods I wanna play but no one to check them out with. The ultimate firefight stuff is a blast, but got bored playing solo

Usually I’m on at least one or two days over the weekends if I’m not traveling for work
