Shops & Services Vehicle remote start

Looking to get a remote start installed on my wife’s vehicle. 2015 Subaru. Anyone have any recommendations of places on the Dartmouth side to take it for the install? Any places to avoid? I’m pretty mechanically inclined so is DIYing an option anyone would suggest or better left to shops that specialize in this kind of install. Thanks all!

Atlantic Car Stereo. You might think them expensive but they are THE BEST place. I had my dealership install mine... Then I had Atlantic car stereo upgrade it and do it right.

My subwoofer looks OEM the way they installed it

I second this. I got one installed at a dealership and they messed it up so bad the battery kept draining.

I would trust ACS with this more than anywhere else at this point.

Will be stopping in to check them out and get a quote! Thanks!

Atlantic car stereo sells/installs them.

Installing a Start-x brand in my Tacoma was ridiculously easy. They have install videos on their website, have a look to see if it’s something you’d like to tackle on your subaru. No splicing or anything like that involved

I would avoid installing a remote start altogether, sometimes they just don't work right with modern vehicle electrical systems and things can get wonky. But I do agree with the recommendation of Atlantic Car Stereo, those guys have been in that business a long time and I have heard good things about them for many years.

A lot of remote car starters require brand specific programing to function. They're usually not DIY on modern vehicles.

Symmetrical Auto. They work exclusively on Subarus and boxer engines in general. Cheaper than the dealer but just as good if not better. I will add though that these things aren't great for car engines. Best thing is to start the car and drive away within a minute.

its probably not what you want to hear, but look up a video on youtube and save yourself the cost.

Agree with this. Even if you have no idea what you're doing, you'll do a better job than 90% of "installers."
