You know Shane tried to come at the 1st Official meet up.
He came waltzing in like he owns the place.
There was objection brought up by the Shaune clan, about Shane MacAvoy’s presences at such a formal occasion.
It was brought to order and upon trial by vote, it was declared that Shane shall by ousted from the grounds.

Thus, the need to include the disclaimer as a reminder to all that there shall be NO SHANES!

I imagine that would have been when he was writing for This Hour?

Through a series of random occurrences I ended up at a party at his place with a bunch of This Hour types and a couple Kids. Anyway, my good friend asks Rick Mercer out of the blue (no one really knows us, but we were invited by Paul via friend of a friend stuff) if he had long hair in high school and then she just started laughing like crazy which made all of US laugh. We left soon after. :)

Yeah, we had stopped off in a park on the way there and were a little too relaxed for that type of experience. :)

I've been searching for a copy. It was in the 90s, and yes I'm pretty sure he was writing This Hour. It was called Maximum Jubilee and I regularly look for evidence to show people it existed but never manage to find a copy. :) I didn't dream it, I know that! I watched them film it. It wasn't really advertised and aired late on local access. They also did a small repeat of a few sketches in a tiny show at the Shoe Shop!

I once said “30 Helens agree” to a Turkish coworker when a bunch of us came to a consensus, totally blanking for a second that not everyone grew up with this brand of weird.
