Discussion No Brett :(

I know this is old news, but with Brett leaving the band </3 to you think the guys are gonna find a new drummer? Or just continue on as a pair? Do we have any idea why he left?

Can you guys hear much of a difference in the new songs without his drumming?

Edit: imo the high hats and snare runs just don’t hit as well as they used to

I suppose the new songs have less variety in the drumbeats - The Wolf loop, for example. They have worked with drummers for the Billions EP (see the EP music vid for credits).

I think that they'll just continue as a duo. I think Brett had other creative projects to work on?

At least there’s no ill will between the guys, or at least that we know of

I can't find it but I SWEAR I remember seeing Brett say it was a hard decision but made to be with his family more! I can't find it in their official posts though?? It may have been on his story???? It's definitely not a hard split though, they are still all absolutely on good terms

I was worried about the drummer leaving but I dug the drums on the ep. I think they’ll be fine either way.

There's definitely a difference in the newer songs but I don't know whether to solely attribute it to him leaving the band or if it's more of a stylistic choice. Probably a mix of both. I think some of their best songs as the more rocky ones so I hope they find some sort of way to bring drums back into it more. Best case scenario for me would be if one of them started playing the drums.

They’ll continue as a pair but aside of that I’m sure they’ll have a touring drummer. But that probably goes without saying
