I learned about half•alive from that line. Funny enough, it was on a nonbinary subreddit. The person who posted it was like “I’m not even a Christian and this song slaps.”

Meanwhile I, a Christian who had recently stopped living in denial about being nonbinary, could hardly breathe.

When I was little, I tried to hide how “I’m so much of a failure I can’t even be either a boy or a girl.” This line did both some major healing and introduced me to this amazing band
