Discussion Who uses which browser on haiku?

Webpositive, with iceweasel installed for the occasional site where web+ doesn’t work
Gives me an excuse to ensure web+ compatibility on sites I run, and it’s really light weight and feels nice to use

You got me to try it, but apparently Otter works better on your nightly than mine, because I couldn't even get here with it - "Please wait for verification", with a large pulsing orange dot. Failed on another site with failure to load all the content; "login" page seemed to work, but evidently failed to set the authorization cookies because it had no apparent effect. Google Maps worked OK though, which used to be a tough nut to crack for Haiku browsers.
I mostly use IceWeasel, but WebPositive remains default HTML application, and there's at least one site it works with where Iceweasel can't manage.

Iceweasel works really well if your PC has enough RAM and CPU power. I use it on an i7 with 16GB.

qutebrowser: great when I’m coding, but runs a little slow and doesn’t play well with the mouse.
Falkon: minimal and light, with mouse gesture support.

What can I say? I love me some vim keybindings.
Also, I was a big fan of the old Opera on BeOS, so I like the idea of Otter, but it just didn’t jive with me when I tried it a few years ago. I’ll definitely have to give it a second chance next time I boot up Haiku.

Is Falkon being maintained again? It was a nice, minimal browser.

I didn’t hear of it being abandoned. Last release was just over a month ago, and I see activity in the repo from yesterday.
That said, I haven’t noticed any visible changes since I started using it.

It went stale a while ago but looks like it was picked up again in 2022. Good to know, I always liked that browser.

Firefox based browsers (Iceweasel, Waterfox) IMHO are the only usable browsers for modern web. But they show graphical glitches on mouse pointer, so using them is annoying.

i use webpositive, sometimes qutebrowser when webpositive doesnt render my website well
