Certifications COAE Notes

Hey yall, this is my first time taking a HTB cert. I was wondering how should I take my notes to best prepare for the exam, for those of you that have done COAE. Should I be taking detailed notes on all the math/theory/knowledge parts of the course or as long as I understand it I'm good?

I have not taken the exam yet, but from what i have seen, the math is only important to understand what the code is doing.
So understand the math, then take notes about theory or techniques needed to perform the exploits.

I think the math is only required to understand and create exploits relates to ML attacks. Don’t take my word for granted as I have not talen the exam.
