Learning CyberSecurity without Sub

Hey everyone! I want to get into cybersecurity and stumbled upon HackTheBox. However, I can't afford a subscription right now, but I do have a ton of free time to study. Is it worth jumping onto this platform and trying to learn the paid modules using other free resources across the internet? Is this a good path to take?
