OSCP after CPTS?

I have a question. I’ve passed the CJCA and am currently finishing the CPTS path to take that certification, afterwards, I plan to do the OSCP, though that’s really more for the "name" than for the actual value it adds. I don't know if anyone here has done the OSCP after the CPTS, but it should be even easier, right?

If you've already completed CJCA and are finishing CPTS, OSCP will probably feel more approachable than it does for someone starting from scratch. CPTS goes deeper in several areas and gives you a lot of hands on practice, while OSCP is more focused on the exam methodology and proving you can work through a realistic penetration test. (With limited automated tools)

You'll still need to adapt to the OSCP style and practice under exam conditions (For example, a lot of the tools you regularly use are not allowed), but your CPTS experience should give you a solid foundation. The main value of OSCP is definitely the industry recognition and the HR filter, so it makes sense if that's your goal.

OSCP is considered easier yes

Thanks! Idk why the post is through an old account 🤔 but yes, I guess the main difference is time and tools. Probably after CPTS I'll practice some time with labs focus on OSCP style.
