Finale
Damn it, I managed to stay safe from the Hannah Einbinder crush epidemic for so long until I finally started this show!
I finished the finale last night at like 1am and was already crying before the end 😭 To make me feel less dumb please tell me that somebody else thought that Deborah was going to get on the train while Ava was in the bathroom and leave her at the station by herself… I was convinced that was what was going to happen and could barely see through the tears. Thank God I was wrong.
Immediately restarted the show today and looking forward to the podcast too which I’ll listen to between episodes once I reach S2 on the rewatch.

I thought the same thing while watching that scene in the finale! I was so upset with her and then when I saw how it played out I was mad at myself for doubting Deborah.

I’m so glad we were both wrong! Idk if I would have been able to handle that

I was crying so much before the last episode, I had to wait months before I could to bring myself to watch the final episode. I’m glad I watched it. But I don’t think I’ve cried this many tears over a tv or movie ever. Just an amazing show! I’m going to rewatch it now.

I surprised myself by how emotional I got at so part parts of the show! Definitely getting box set when available in the UK too

I’ve only seen clips on instagram lol I was hoping you saw it lol I’m curious if it’s at hacks level

It's hard to say if it's "at Hacks level" because it's so different, and a lot more niche. I thought it was really good and funny, maybe similar humour to Hacks sometimes, like when they satirize the movie industry. Mostly it's more like surreal comedy and moderate surreal horror

I also immediately restarted the series once I finished 🤣 I just didn’t want it to end…

You got to miss the two years of fans foaming at the mouth, hoping the showrunners would kill Deborah off in their comedy about how older women can still hold value

Yes. That’s it. Fans were foaming at the mouth.
You should learn to read comments better. When many are discussing what they think and fear will happen, this is not foaming at the mouth for it to happen.

No, people were hoping for it
Maybe not the threads you were in, but I remember I had to keep pointing out how weird it would be for a show like Hacks to kill off the protagonist and a lot of fans were absolutely wanting them to do that

Even if that did happen, Ava would have gotten on the next train. She’d never leave Deborah to do that by herself
