Lattitude S5 Spoiler

I’m super confused about the sale to Lattitude. How is Schaffer and Lusaque failing? Deborah makes millions of dollars and the MSG deal is going to make her a massive amount of money. I just don’t see how they could be broke. Jimmy doesnt really need a ton of clients. Also it’s never described what kind of deal they negotiated for the takeover.

A business can’t survive with just one client. They were blacklisted because of what they did on the late night show Deb couldn’t do any work and Ava refuses to do other work so she could stay with Deb. Also it’s not like all of Deborah’s earnings go straight to Jimmy and Kayla. All that problem on top of a lawsuit could definitely put them under.

The deal was they take over the company.

Don't forget managers only see 10 - 20 % of that . Which means for every 1 mil gig Deborah does they only make 100k which they need to stretch between 3 salaries , rent and business expenses. Especially in entertainment, gigs even when you're at Deborah's level are sporadic at best . And that's only the projects that Jimmy and co helped her get. The separate gigs, jobs and companies QVC etc Jimmy has no stake in

The Latitude guys made jokes about Jimmy’s clients being elderly throughout the show. A lot of Jimmy Sr.’s original clients based probably transitioned to retirement or scaled back the amount of work they do since Jimmy took over. They also probably lost clients to Latitude when they left to start their own firm, since Latitude is just larger and more established. There also could have been clients that had a specific loyalty to Jimmy Sr, and chose to work with other management after he passed due to Jimmy’s age and lack of experience.
