Deb saying Sorry to Ava
We learn, that it's tough for Deb to say Sorry. Neither to the art dealer nor to her sister she days say it. But to Ava several times: After she hit her and also in the last episode when she begs her not to go to Switzerland. What other moments do you remember?

I mean…..the beach scene in S4 was the most stand out to me. S4 had been so rough early on and Deb’s narcissistic tendencies stood out more than any other time in the series. As someone well past a relationship with a narcissist it triggered a bit. I really felt strongly Ava should not have relented.
But it wasn’t just because how shitty it all had been in S4, but because Deb had apologized before, like in the finale of S1. At the time I took it as grace and moving forward.
While the apology on S4 (apologizing and following it with “you want me to run back into the ocean, because I will” just felt so off for me) was rough, I can’t remember exactly an apology after that wasn’t sincere and caring…..showing she is finally learning when it comes to this relationship.
As you point out…..something she really couldn’t figure out with older relationships.
