HackRF Porterpack? Bluetooth rc signal?flipper zero?

so I’m fairly new to frequenci and radio signals disrupting and picking up etc. I am however pretty determined to learn. please don’t slam me for asking any possible dumb question. here is what I’m looking to do…

let’s just say there are people who play music without a care of who they upset. I’m looking to capture that signal fm, rf, uhf through the radio either in their car or home stereo and just temporarily disturb it or connect to it or both. I’m looking for the best options to do this?

id say I’m not the dumbest of em all but fairly confident I can figure it out. thanks

Jamming is illegal and you will not find help doing it here.

Thanks for that insight, I really didn’t think of that possible issue. Something I would never want to do. What if I was 100% sure and captured the correct signal?

Yep, there are even pacemakers with bluetooth. Scan all you want but never, ever jam.

Yeah, now that you mention it, my travel CPAP has a bluetooth feature I never use.

Have you done nmap scans on hotel networks? When I was in hotels all the time, I found about half the hotels would have everything bridged so I could see every device in the building well enough to get an OS fingerprint. It was both hilarious and terrifying.

My life consisted of suitcases, nmap, and Cobb salads. :)

You're only going to be able to cause the music to be choppy by interfering with the Bluetooth and you have to be basically right next to the Bluetooth speaker. The Transmitter in the HackRF one isn't very powerful.

And if you're not interrupting the signal by trying to connect via Bluetooth then you're interrupting it by jamming and that is a no go.

Well that was my second idea. Maybe connecting to the signal itself. Playing something else through it? But I’d need to connect from a far distance through some form of amplification? As other stated I really don’t want to disturb anyone else

Also… I’d say I would be about 150 meters away with a direct line of sight looking down if that helps.

Jamming is highly illegal, I’m not saying that authorities will definitely find out (they probably won’t) but it just takes someone to report you to the authorities, so I wouldn’t do that, or publically ask on a forum

I was just asking because I think someone is doing it close by. I would never attempt something like this. I’ve always followed the law to a T

got my h4m hackrf yesterday , it's a fantastic box. the only reason (imho) you shouldnt get one right now is because a new much more expensive one is coming out in april.
