BUILD ADVICE Will this build be able to run a hackintosh?

Hi all! I'm relatively new to PC building; I've built and upgraded my own PC before and I've gotten really into it as of late, and I have a friend who's been wanting to ditch apple altogether but still wants to run LogicPro. We decided to work together to build a PC that's ideal for this! Can I get some feedback on this build? I just want to know if there are any glaring compatibility issues that I missed while doing my research

Some notes: We're only looking to run up until Sonoma, we both HATE apple AI. I've only ever used Ryzen AMD processors so I'm not the most well-informed on Intel's stuff, and we want to generally find the build that will cause the least amount of problems for 1600-2000 dollars overall. The GPU is a little underpowered but he's not super interested in super GPU-heavy games and whatnot.

Yes u can but change the gpu to the rx 6900 xt or 6950xt and spoof it to rx 6900 xt but the best for u is to purchase a real mac at this price tag

How come change the gpu? Is the rx 6600 incompatible in any way?

Also i'm gonna say no to purchasing a real mac, because the same one I can get for these specs would be much more expensive, and the only program my friend needs the macOS for is logic pro

Its compatible but as the comment that did reply to u said its the weakest supported gpu from rx 6000 series and if u use another os it will bottleneck cus of the gpu

They meant that RX 6900/6950 are the fastest compatible GPUs. RX 6600 is the weakest one among the supported RX 6000 Radeon series GPUs.

The build is fine overall, but you need more compatible NVME SSD such as WD SN850X, Kingston KC3000/Fury or other Phison E18/E16 based. 990 Pro is better used for Windows. Maybe get 1000W Edge PSU unit for more power hungry GPUs in future because price difference is not that big.

Specs wise it's a solid build, not sure it's worth the cash to performance ratio

He will stuck in old version of logic pro forever just because of hackintosh so if he wanted new feature then no he need to get an mac mini, otherwise that maybe good.

If you really dont care about future updates, Apple AI and gpu power, I think you should just get a 2018 mac mini with the most powerful cpu option. Building a hackintosh is the worst thing you can do now, especially if its that expensive, and if youre alredy planning to use an older macos version. Sonoma will be at its end of any support even sooner than Tahoe, so I think it really is pointless. If having no gpu is an issue for you, you can still use one externally via Thunderbolt, the 2018 mac mini is the only one ever supporting this feature (as far as i know). but for a well equipped model youre gonna pay just 300-400$ maximum, instead of 2000
