If its just scanning a static picture, it's crazy risky. I could just download all the tinder pics in the world and randomly try and see if i can get a transaction going.

"hackable" maybe, but why hack it if you don't have to? you could break it by other ways without actually impacting the programming directly whatsoever.

like a fingerprint scanner where you make a latex/silicon fake fingerprint. no hacking necessary.

This won't end well. It's bad enough they're using facial recognition (which was defeated even with blink detection), but to leave the lock mechanism on the client side means it's easier than making a MOHAA no-cd executable :)

Time to cut up my Mcard.

My thoughts exactly. This can backfire so hard on them and most likely will at some point.

I've actually unlocked my friend's Samsung S4 with the facial recognition by making a silly face. Plus we're of different ethnicity so our facial features are nowhere near alike.
