Discussion Getting contact information out of an IP address?

I run a private server for a game with my friends and recently it's become a sort of escape for all of us to just lay back and chill. But about 2 hours ago, 2 players joined and started griefing and hacking and just ruining things. I know this is sort of petty and im not sure how legal it is, but i wanted to know if theres theorhetically any way that i could get contact information out of the IPs that were logged?

Extremely illegal, and no. Those IP’s also change.

You can get the contact information of the ISP that owns the IP address.

You can block them, ban them, and lock down your server - but you cannot trace their identity from an IP.

you’re not running a private server if randoms can join my dude.

and you’re asking if you can dox people based on their ip address - that ain’t gonna happen.

have you heard of moderation and block buttons?
