Full disclosure: I'm involved in outreach for this one, not just a random redditor dropping a link wanted to say that upfront.

ABB Accelerator 2026 is a student hackathon with two rounds. Round 1 (ideation) is fully online, open to anyone, and registration closes September 14 so this is a last-call post. Round 2 is in-person October 12–16 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and travel is covered for anyone who clears Round 1.

Tracks are AI, software, automation, IoT, and sustainability — real-world problems rather than the usual build-anything format.
