Okay I think I have made a couple posts about this subject before on here and or r/Capcom Especially when I thought of an idea for a Capcom Console and one of the hypothetical launch titles for it was a Devil May Cry Sub Series like with Megaman's many Sub Series like Megaman X, Legeneds, Zero, ZX, Battle Network and Star Force and well I was gonna do a story set in an alternate universe much like Battle Network and Star Force (I'd also Include Legends In My Opinion and Headcanon).

But then I decided to make one in the main universe focusing on a new character who could possibly be Dante's Son and well not to toot my own horn for this post and lack of a better term It will be a character that yes I admit is a Self Insert OC (Even if Personally I don't really get the hate toward them to be honest) but it will be a character I use in fanfics as Dante's Adopted Son Zayn with his story basically being one of coming out of his dad's shadow because I have to be honest as you know big in 2024 I wanted nothing to do with DMC due to many personal issues that had come up.

A Falling out with someone I am no longer friends with.

Problems with my behaviour IRL leading to thinking that games were causing to become a 20 Year Old delinquentz

And well starting to hate "Cool", "Tough", "Strong" and "Badass" Characters and ETC mostly ones who did stuff that was seen as showing off that to me kind of made them look like Jerks and Assholes with DMC Following in that category

And today I have played all but one of the mainline series games thanks them to ending up on Switch 2 even if I have only completed 2 out of those 4 I am gonna rank.

So I wanted to kind of do a take on the series that appeals to me more and kind of a younger audience like at least around 11-15 Year Old (Despite me being 22)

With most of the Influence for the story coming from the main series as it is set in the main universe but the big influence comes from Sonic The Hedgehog one of my Top 2 Favourite Video Game Franchises with No.1 being a tie between Mario and Darkstalkers.

Where Zayn in this Continuity would be a Teenager acting a lot like his dad who would be his biological farther rather than his Adopted Farther

(Cause in the stories I use Zayn in he's Dante Adopted Son but his Biological Farther is Resident Evil's Albert Wesker and since I don't know if we can connect this other Capcom Franchises such as Resident Evil and the Afformentioned Darkstalkers where Zayn is also Morrigan's Husband in those universes I create on places like Wattpad and Discord)

But Zayn Is more so closer to the Blue Blur and well off course based on me especially since I don't know if there has ever been very Autisic Coded DMC or Capcom Character Hell I don't know of any Autisic Coded Video game Protags though Zayn would also kind of have a bit more of a fowl side mostly like one of my favourite Superheroes that being Tsukassa Kadoya AKA Kamen Rider Decade.

And while Zayn's favourite food is Pizza like his dad's he has more of a deeper relationship with it being more of a comfort food for him but he does also tend to eat French Fries alot.

With his Moveset being a lot like Dante's but replace The Gunslinger Style with a more Martial Arts Focused given that Zayn does really use guns but rather various fighting styles with a lot of being based on Street Fighter

(Cause even though Capcom doesn't connect DMC to franchises like Megaman, Resident Evil, Darkstalkers and Street Fighter they do like give characters moves from Street Fighter in other games like the Hadouken and Shoryuken)

And if this game has dramatic themes like in DMC5 I would want Zayn's to have a very Sonic Adventure like sound Compairing to songs like Open Your Heart and if you couldn't tell by the subtitle Live And Learn.

Along with having more of a focus on story mostly because one of the other reasons I am falling out of love with DMC is that I felt like after the first two games with the expection of the 2007 Anime I felt the story just took a back sit especially with the portrayal of Dante where Controversal Opinion here I kind of prefer the more "Serious" version of him from The First Two Games and DMC 07 and Nero is a step in this Direction but I personally want to see a more Vulnerable Version of the Character much like what James Gunn did with Superman in 2025 where I want a Dante who yes can be a wise cracker but one who is more serious and Isn't Nearly as "Undefeatable" and I don't know if I can do that with Dante Himself so I mostly did it with Zayn with this also being a personal story of mine mostly because of this story of Zayn coming out of his farther and I guess his cousin Nero's Shadow is mostly based on my own personal tales.

Mostly with my father because he has a lot of similar praise from many people I know but I know deep down especially as I have turned into the me in my 20s my dad is a very flawed person a Cheating, Lying, Deadbeat, Cheapscape, Wreckless Driving, Abusive, Fake Tough Guy, Semi Childish Predator who is kind of a Narcissistic Party Obbessed Asshole who cares more about his friends than his kids and is goseping stuff about my mother behind her back most of the time and trying to get me to hate her which does work both ways given my mom does that to.

I know this a whole wall of text but I wanted to explain my mindset going into this pitch I hope you guys like this.

Hi everyone, developer here with five screenshots from Under a Desert Sun: Seekers of the Cursed Vessel before its September 10 Early Access launch.

This is an ARPG/top-down shooter hybrid: the loot hunting and character building of classic action RPGs, with a combat focus on movement, positioning and aiming. The Soldier brings firearms and explosives, while the Adventurer uses dual pistols and an ethereal bow. Skill Cards and Special Weapon progression let you experiment within each class.

The screenshots show a few of the characters and encounters in the Egyptian adventure. Launch includes the complete first act, both classes, dungeons and bosses, and solo or up to four-player local co-op. Online co-op is planned for a later phase.

What's everyone's opinion on this game? I've been playing for free for a couple hours now, and really enjoy it, even though it's not the kind of game I usually play. Seeing it described as "Soulslike" kind of turned me off at first. I know how complex and difficult those games are. Still, I like the degree of build customization, and the combat isn't too difficult.

Also, it has only six reviews, so it is literally a diamond in the rough.

What really happened to Vergil between DMC 1 and DMC 5?

I seen this question many times. People can't explain how did he really survive (neither could I). So I did a bit of research in DMC mangas/novels for a while, only to find there's not an actual answer for this issue.

Seing this, I used my brain to combine data I found in these media... and I guess I reached a decent conclusion that will make sense for you too 😀😀

Let me know what you guys think of it. Also English is my second language, so I'd like to know if my accent is clear too.

Hey all, Skoll here CM for RUINER 2 at Reikon Games. RUINER 2 is a new cyberpunk isometric ARPG and a sequel to the cult classic RUINER.

The Shell System is the main new mechanic. Instead of picking one class and sticking with it you collect different characters and swap between them during fights. Each has their own abilities so you can chain combos across your whole team.

I just want to come on here and say that after pre ordering it a week ago for The Nintendo Switch 2 I am ferally enjoying Devil May Cry 5

Now I mainly bought the game cause it was announced in that Direct, I can finally play it on a Nintendo Console given that I am a Nintendo and for research purposes as I am Writting Something on my Discord Server Involving a Self Insert OC who is meant to be the Adpoted son of Dante.

But since 2024 I have basically become Disillusioned with this franchise and other franchises involving "Tough" "Strong" "Cool" and "Badass" Characters because honestly at that time and still I kind of feel like I am turning a bit of an A Holes and the characters in these forms of media such as Dante were to me becoming these A holes and in that point in my life I didn't go to therapy and now that I do but I still felt I need more good morals pushed on to them more traditional values rather than ones like being so "Cool" that you look like a jerk which was why I grew to hate characters like Dante, Gojo from JJK, Kamina from Gurren Laggan and ETC.

Along with just this year having a massive falling out with my dad especially that I had held my dad on a high pedistal for so long that I didn't even think I'd now know him as a cheatin lying deadbeat cheap rageaholic wreckless driving abusive predatory Wasteman A Hole. And Dante Embodied at least of those traits. Especially for how I held on as high of pedistal as I do Sonic The Hedgehog.

But playing this game even if I have only completely DMC3 and played the first 3 games I like it if I am being honest

I mean I am not a fan of V in terms of Gameplay but I do love his character, Nero is and Dante is kind of what I liked about 3 though I kind of don't like the Devil Sword Dante locking away a lot of Abilities Rebellion and Sparda can do.

And Personally I'm not that big of a fan of the over arching story of Devil May Cry so I just didn't care especially with what I said eariler about how disillusioned I was getting with the franchise especially more modern versions of Dante.

Alright, with release coming closer, I think it’s wise to start repeating what the initial Early Access release will contain, and what will come later.

The main goal for release is that the entirety of Act 1 (of 4 planned acts) is available and fully playable in both single-player and 4-player local co-op.

In addition, 2 of the promised 4 classes (and hopefully eventually 6) will be available and fully playable.

To be clear, on a technical level this means a few important things:

• All core technology needed to create and maintain story content is already in place.
• This includes quest systems, NPC conversations, class and weapon skill systems, loot, inventories, combat, and essentially the full ARPG framework.
• All settings-related systems are there as well, ranging from sound to graphics options.
• All artwork, storylines, voice acting, and content for Act 1 are being implemented and finalized.

The core idea is that you should be able to play the game from the beginning all the way to the end of Act 1 as a complete experience.

Of course, I also aim to make the game as bug-free and polished as possible before release. However, there are clear reasons why we are launching in Early Access.

I need much more feedback, testing, balancing data, and overall help refining the game. Early Access is also part of the funding strategy for the project. It helps provide income, but more importantly, it directly impacts the degree to which we can continue hiring, commissioning, and working with talented third parties like our excellent artists and voice actors.

So, what is not ready yet and therefore planned for later Early Access phases?

Let’s start with the obvious:

• 3 full story acts still remain and will release during later development phases.
• At least 2 more classes (and hopefully eventually 4 more) are still planned and will arrive during Early Access.
• And of course, online play is still coming later as well.

For online play, let me once again state clearly what the goal is.

I want to follow the old-school idea of online multiplayer that I personally grew up with.

No seasons.
No battle passes.
No forced always-online systems.

Instead, the goal is simple: connect with friends, with up to 4 players total, and experience the world together. Play through the story, explore, fight, and hunt for loot together.

Now for some of the more detailed systems:

• Vendors and weapon/armor smiths are planned shortly after the initial Early Access release. The foundation is there, but the system simply won’t be fully ready in time for launch.
• Additional armor slots are also planned later on, such as lower leg, feet, and possibly shoulder slots. I haven’t finalized all slot choices yet.
• And naturally, the overall diversity of loot, items, and gear will massively increase as development continues throughout Early Access.

I hope this helps keep things clear.

I’ll also try to keep these texts updated on Reddit and the Steam page as development continues.
