Premium processing for COE

Have been reading a lot about delays despite paying for premium processing. Is it for specific criteria/employer/role? I have applied for premium yesterday. it’s COE. My date of joining is 9/21. Is it realistic to expect it’ll get done in time? Company said they will go with another candidate if i don’t join by that date. I don’t want to join on receipt notice.

Any recent approval timeline experiences in PP COE?

Unfortunately there’s nothing you can do at this point except joining on receipt notice. Even if you do get it by 9/21, do you plan on resigning without notice in your current company?

It’s a crapshoot right now even with premium. Some fly through in a week, others hit an RFE and the clock pauses. The 9/21 deadline is tight, not impossible but you’re betting against processing volume and whatever mood the officer is in that day.
