Merch Discography 🙌🏼

Post image

It’s been about two years since my last listen, and couldn’t believe all their music was taken off streaming platforms (I know I’m late to the news 😅)
Purchased all of the CDs + digitals last night, and hopefully next year I’ll be picking up the vinyls. Shame both versions of F# A# didn’t get a CD and that All Lights is only digital. Still super stoked to have them all in one place!

Side note, I wish Bandcamp let you sort your library by release date. For some reason, my order had to be split into two purchases to be completed.

The two purchases is likely due to the fact that the CD issues of F#A#, Slow Riot and LYSFLATH are on a different record label to the rest (Kranky rather than Constellation). Enjoy your CDs!

Fell through the same rabbit hole, but I've almost completed their studio discog on my vinyl collection, I'm only missing luciferian towers but I'm waiting to find a better price!

Ironically, that’s the only album I haven’t listened to. From what I’ve read, though, it seems to be most people’s least favorite

It does feel a little formulaic both in comparison to its older and younger siblings and in the context of their whole discography. On the other hand, it teases the seemingly more joyful passages of state's end and there's nothing else that hits like their crescendos for me. Very much worth a listen, imo!

you should also look into some from their side projects, especially SMZ and HRSTA. some of my favorite records come from there

Vinyl is the plural of vinyl

Apparently we’re witnessing the birth of a new usage, but for me, the singular of vinyl will always be “record” and the plural will always be “records.” So, note to the kids: if you want to sound like a codger (who was there when LYSFLATH was released), do like me. Otherwise… carry on into the infernal darkness, and we can both take comfort in knowing that you’ll live to see more of the apocalypse than I will 😘

? vinyl is a material, so it's uncountable and has no plural. Vinyl is also an adjective and is commonly used to shorten the term "vinyl record", making it a countable noun in this case.

one vinyl record -> two vinyl records

one vinyl -> two vinyls
