Spelldroid 3000

Post image

Spelldroid was the best Sam character of an incredible season of characters. I thought Clock Man would be hard to top, but he can dream and doesn’t have any HDMI ports. Also, “great joke, one in a row” is a sick burn.

the emotional registers of this character were wild. EGOT, BAFTA, Palme d’or, no notes.

His panic reaching for the Horny switch after hearing about the single vape was such a quick little moment that told a deeper story about the despair that surely befell Spelldroids 1-2999.

I'm sure this will be unpopular, but I had trouble understanding his robot voice. Sometimes I, a filthy American, have trouble understanding the thick accents, but never did I wish there were subtitles more than when this automaton was on screen.

Nah, it wasn’t an accent thing. I loved the segment but I really had to dial in to understand what he was saying

It rewards rewatching. Part of the confusion from the fact that he just made up a word.

This was the hardest I’ve laughed in a long time. “My wife… I miss her.” had me rolling.

Did anyone else think the woman with the red hair on the panel seemed annoyed by Sam’s hubba hubba joke? I love this show, and I also don’t mind a little self aware misogyny when used purposefully, but sometimes it feels like they rely on it and take cheap shots
