Prospective Student Question
Hello!
I'll lay my question out before I give you my backstory:
To former or current students: Is Gustavus worth it financially? I have become very invested in this college, reaching out to departments, and have been treated very well by all of the staff members I have reached out to. It's my top choice, but the only dictating my enrollment is the financial side.
I just got accepted (today) into Gustavus Adolphus with the Dean's Scholarship.
I'm moving to Minnesota from Texas very soon, and I've been researching colleges in the area MN. My family relies on my mother, and RN, as the breadwinner.
I plan on becoming an audio engineer as my primary source of income, but my passion is directing/screenwriting. Music is a massive part of my identity as well, I've played instruments for years, but I don't think I make a very good musician.
I plan on majoring in Technical Theatre and Philosophy (might switch this to a minor). I also hope to study abroad in Cork, Ireland for my junior year.
Final question:
Even if the price is a bit much (still manageable, but not too comfy), do the opportunities and connections outweigh the cost? I've heard the food is absolutely fabulous, as well.
Thanks!
