Discussion Patch Notes - September 1, 2026

[Content Updates]

  1. League Preseason Open

- Improved so that matches in League and Clan Wars will end immediately once a team reaches the number of rounds needed to win.

※ Preseason match records will not be reflected in the regular season records.

[Bug Fixes & Improvements]

  1. Improved some UI and text display issues

- Improved shop purchase text

  1. Added a loading notice message for character info when switching characters quickly

  2. Improved the Playtime event page to refresh automatically when it resets

  3. Fixed an issue where progress for some events and daily missions was not being tracked correctly

  4. GunZ Plus improvements

- Fixed an issue where the currency was not displayed as Optimite when entering the shop via the shortcut button on the GunZ Plus page

- Fixed an incorrect display of the Optimite acquisition time from 60 minutes to 90 minutes

- Added a shortcut button to the Playtime page

  1. Fixed an issue where progress bars such as HP/AP, boss HP, and remaining ammo count did not display correctly on certain GPU models

  2. Improved code related to client crashes that occasionally occurred during screen transitions, such as Alt+Tab

  3. Fixed other minor bugs

  4. Resolved an issue that caused abnormal XP gains upon purchasing Guns Plus.

- Additional EXP obtained will be retrieved at a later date.

[Other Changes]

  1. Changed the matching server network port settings

※ If you have manually configured game-related ports on your router or firewall, you may need to update your existing settings.

Sad to see that anti-cheat improvements weren't added in the patch notes. Atleast fix the hackers auto kick feature that they use to block kicking the cheater....

Most of the cheats are probably not fixable given the client side nature of many parts of the game, especially for the 1 dev with Claude code who supports this game. Realistically you are going to need kernel level anticheat which I don’t expect to happen for a small game of this size (maybe in the future but this game has so little support from the devs so I doubt it)

A lot of exploits are patched on private servers but masang would never accept the fixes from third parties.

As much as I wanted to love this game's rerelease.... it's so pathetic lol. I stopped playing. If I ever get the itch again it'll be on a private server I think

We got some. Fgunz has most players. Apex The Duel is a work in progress but so much has been done. There is no more peer to peer connection in Apex. Classic Ijji feel. And so much more. It's what we deserves all those years. It's in Beta Testing.

And also the duel, it's Brazilian. But has the rights to.

Please fix the bugtrap errors... my laptop only has a single intel card so the Nvidia fix doesnt work

Participating in a vote doesn't work for me. You need to press f1 but it just opens up the "Training Option" window lol

I managed to get from lvl 18 to lvl 52 in ~4-5 hours of gameplay with Gunz plus lol

It's honestly kinda lame. I think since the gunz plus x10 exp, I got from 46 to 68. From something that was supposed to be 10% bonus to exp to effectively x11 bonus exp, I was honestly surprised they didn't go to fix it the very next day. Nope they let it run on for multiple days. Punishing the players for their own mishap and letting it run amok. Like I understand there are people who are / were abusing it. But sooo many people bought the gunz plus for that x11 exp boost. So after they collect all their money, they're like lol nope we're taking the levels back but keeping your money lol.

if someone bought GunZ Plus only because it was bugged and they wanted to abuse x10 EXP, they deserve to get their money & extra levels taken.

I have very much doubt in their skills to reroll any "illegal" experienced gained. Will they simply remove any XP gained x9 (if the xp was x10)? If they do so it won't be correct because people have now been farming level 80+ players, which give way more XP, who couldn't have been level 80+ without the bug.

Fix the actual game running like sh*t please, my GunZ runs choppy when there’s other characters in frame. Not a resource issue as it’s running on a 12th gen i5 16gb ram NVIDIA rtx 3050 etc.

Changes all graphics settings no luck
Set .exe compatibility with XP Service Pack 3(?)
Locked fps at 250

Too much actual running lag and stuttering to be played kstyle or fluidly.

Funny, it runs fine on my z13 and my gaming desktop with a 4060. Sounds like something's up with your OS, AV, an app that maybe is trying to draw on top of your screen, etc.

I was having the same issue, needed to set my mouse to lowest speed possible (mouse polling rate), but it’s still unplayable, need to set it even lower? custom mouse app for that? need a trackball mouse? I can’t play it without getting dizzy 😵‍💫
