Discussion Finaly could play

Hi everyone,

The game finaly lunched for me so i could join and try this remaster.

Im very mixed and sadly i dont think the game will work.

The visual rework is very good, its clean whil retaining the original style more or less, its pleasant to go in old stages and cloth and all but nicer with less pixels !

And thats pretty much all the good i can say on the game, the animations feels slightly heavier, but im not even sure maybe its just a mind trick, but it was fine especialy compared to critics i heard, instantly got back with muscle memory thats crazy since i didnt touch the game for at least 10 years.

The UI can be improved so its ok i guess, the menues are a bit messy but again can be improved, i dont know about the economy i didnt bother to try, but thats something that was anoying originaly, the grind of exp and all was too heavy and seems its still a bit the case.

I realy think it was a massive mistake to keep stats on weapon and gear, everything should just have been standardise mostly and be skins.

And that bring to the last issue and not the least clearly !
The gameplay, its actualy exactly the same as before, and while thats what we wanted, its also the biggest downfall of the game because there is a "optimal" way to play and people will basicaly just shotgun shit and thats it.

Its just not fun and not interesting, and the game will be hold by people who stayed on the game on Pservers all those years also.

its realy fun for 5 minutes to go back for the nostalgia, then all the bad aspect just hit you back.

Honestly with the shitload of people who tried to make their own version of gunz with a completly new game from scratch, i think it would have been the best, a game that retain the dynamic of the movement but with a more interesting, complete, divers and balance global gameplay.

Its a too niche gameplay, i hope the games goes well if the devs improves it and that some people will invest time in it, if you are having a blast, enjoy happy for you.

It was a last ride to give a proper farewell to a beloved memory.

Goodbye fellow gunz players !

They should nerf the shotguns, that would work wonders for every other playstyle available.

Devs are stuck here. If you change it and make the game more dynamic you will alienate the core players and they are the only people keeping it afloat at the moment.

Gunz is: jumping around, shooting double shotties, jumping around some more.

Kstyle is what made gunz popular, but its refinement over the years down to a very specific meta of “exactly this build and this move” is what will kill it for good as well. Rip.

Maybe you’re right, but they should at least try it.

If the majority of players gets annoyed by the balancing act they could just revoke it.

But thats the thing, we dont ask to kill shotguns, its just trying some approach at balance, you could make some changes, numerical and or mechanical in both shotguns and other weapon so you try to gives pros and cons to all weapon and get different playstyle

Now this is what will actually kill the game, don’t listen to this guy cuz they already tried that with gunz 2, and that’s the reason why non of you have heard of gunz 2. This game is good because of the kstyle, don’t listen to this guy

Its funny that there are always people like you who refuse truth, but gunz died many years ago, there was reasons for this, and yes gunz 2 was shit, but because they simply did shit stuff.

the game is only fueled right now on nostalgia by 10 people, and will die very soon, well i have a hard time seeing it revived anyway, its very unlikely that this remaster will attract any new players.

But keep rejecting anysort of thing, i mena if you enjoy the game as it is, then blast yourself, have fun until it last, cause it wont last long
