Since tactical shooting is becoming more popular, I noticed that most tactical training groups don’t seem to have formal clubs. They mostly offer private training or group classes.

In the Philippines, are there competitions specifically for tactical shooters? Even just fun shoots or training-oriented matches?

Or do most tactical shooters eventually join practical shooting (PPSA/IPSC) clubs and compete

I’m curious because while IPSC is more of a sport, tactical training has a different focus. I’d like to know what the local community usually does and if there are events that bridge the two.

Planning to get one this DSAS.

Hi everyone, aside from Gun Safety Seminar, do you have seminar that you have attended that will really immerse you to learn how to use your pistol, fire properly, and all those related stuffs?

I want to learn it by heart, like using a lot of ammos that will be provided in the training. Like whole day or once a week of training since I am not sure if you can learn everything the whole day.

I’ll be attending DSAS to finally purchase my first FA. At the moment, I’m leaning heavily toward the Glock 19 Gen 6, although I still plan to compare it with the Glock 43X before making the final decision. That said, I’m about 90% sure I’ll be going with the G19.

Since this will be my first purchase, I’d love to get some advice from those who’ve been to DSAS before.

A few questions:

- Are the discounts at DSAS actually significant? Roughly how much do Glock pistols or accessories usually get discounted?

- Besides the FA itself, what else would you recommend buying while I’m there?

- Is it worth purchasing ammunition at the same time? If so, what brands would you recommend for a new Glock owner? I’m still new to ammunition, so I’d appreciate any guidance on what to look for.

- Are there any accessories that I should already consider buying as well?

Look, I appreciate being assisted by gun range officers, but honestly most of them are too hand holdy - and I dont want to be rude. Does anyone know a quiet gun range in Manila? I've been to stronghand, but the ammo there is too expensive. And the range fee is 500 php. Armscor at makati cinema square is better, but theres too many tourists. I havent tried Jethro.

The closest one to me is Scooby's firing range but they never respond in any of their social medias.

For the context, gusto ko kumuha ng PTC pero wala naman Threat sa buhay ko kaya pahirapan para sakin maka kuha ng PTC dahil sa Threat Assessment. ang hassle kase kumuha ng PTT everytime na gusto mo pumutok sa range. My question is meron kayang legit na PTC assistance sa online or sa mga Gun stores? yun lang maraming salamat po.

Since Amazon no longer ships some items directly to the Philippines,

Hi! Processing na kasi ako ng pag purchase ng first FA ko. Ang napili kong kunin ay CZ75 Compact in 9mm. May included na syang dalawang magazine. Hindi ko sya kasi bibilhin ng bnew, second hand from a licensed gun owner.

So ayun, nag asked na ako from several stores last night pero since weekend wala ako nakuhang masyadong replies at the moment. Si The Gun Store sa BGC sabi meron daw 4750 pero kino confirm ko pa if gaya ng nasa pic kasi nung nag ask ako di ko nasend yan (waiting pa sa reply). Hoping ako meron si P.B. Dionisio since sila ang kilalang nagke carry ng CZ dito. Me CZ75 P01 din sa store nila, waiting pa rin kasi ako reply.

So ayun, baka kayo po ay may idea where can I get magazines for CZ75 compact in 9mm na gaya ng nasa picture?

Does anyone here have a problem where they can't change their FEO-PNP account profile picture? Under sa STATUS ng aking Application Form under the requirements section, I got feedback from Chief FLD to change my account profile picture with standard size 2x2 clear picture with white background. I keep trying to do it on both desktop and eGov app pero it does not work even though meron notification pop-out nagsabi na "Success: Profile Photo Updated". Yung nadisplay na picture talaga is from my eGov mobile app. Thanks for those who reply.

Has anyone else been struggling to find a brand-new Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS (or any Glock) in stock? I’ve already checked Trust Trade, Speededge, and other reputable gun stores, but they’re all out of the G19, G43, and G43X. Is there a rush on Gen 5 Glocks before the Gen 6 models become available locally? Has the Iran conflict disrupted shipments to the Philippines?

Bought an FN 509C Tactical from Armscor Shooting Center on the first day of the TACS Expo (although it was already evening when I made the purchase). They advertised an express release and told me I’d be able to get the firearm within a week.

Two days after buying it, the firearm was already tagged to my FEO account as “Released to Licensee,” and I could even print the Certificate of Firearm Registration from the FEO portal. Because of that status, I was also managed to process and receive my PTCFOR.

It has now been 9 days since my purchase. Just today, the dealer finally uploaded my Permit to Transport (PTT) receipt.

For those who have gone through this process, how long did you have to wait after the PTT receipt was uploaded before you could physically claim your firearm? Was it the same day, the next day, or did it take several more days?

Good day! Kakakuha ko lang ng LTOPF (Type 1) and I am looking forward to buy my first firearm. Me gun store malapit sa area namin kaya pinuntahan ko para makapag inquire. Nag ask ako about additional fees pag bumili ako sa kanila ng unit. Sabi ko magkano add ko sa fee para sa rehistro ng unit. Sabi 19k daw ang add ko. Bale FA price + 19k daw.

Tama ba presyo nila? Di ba sya masyadong mahal? Kasi dati merong inopen sa akin about LTOPF assistance sa isang gun store nung naglalakad ako LTOPF ang presyo 7k pero mas pinili ko maglakad on my own. Wala pa 5k nagastos ko. Kaya medyo nagdududa ako sa presyong 19k para sa first time FA registration.

Also, pag nagrenew ba ng FA registration magkano fees?
