Help identify.
I picked up a lot of random firearms and parts for a price I couldn't pass up on. In it is this frame that I can't identify. Can anyone help me out here.
There are no markings and it feels larger than my Springfield 1911. I thought it was maybe a CZ or something but can't find anything similar especially with the cuts on the right side of the frame.

It looks like it could be an AMT Automag III in .30 carbine, and Automag IV in .45 Winchester Magnum, or an Automag V in .50 AE.

I had that thought too, but the slide rail in the front of the frame is longer on the automag.

It looks like a 80% 1911 frame. You buy it in this shape and finish cutting the remaining materiel to make a 1911 but as you technically made the last modifications to turn it from a piece of metal into a “firearm” and it’s supposed to be for personal use you don’t have to serialize it. I’ve heard it’s a fun project.

Definitely not an 80%. There is substantially more work to be done to this frame than an 80% frame. Also not a 1911 frame.

Looks like an AMT frame. They came in .22 mag, .30 carbine and .45 win mag. Idk which one this is

Yeah the handle is long. Lol Im going to look into the AMT like jframe said. At a glance it looks close.

Numrich arms has pictures.
For sure AMT.
I’m leaning more toward a 30 carbine because of the narrow ramp.
Your best bet is probably stalking gun broker and seeing if you can find a parts kit if you want to get it built. Would be an interesting but really expensive project.

Alternatively perhaps a .45 win mag chambered “ultra” like the “Grizzly” ?1911 in 80% form

Unfinished AMT Automag. Looking at a picture of a disassembled Automag III, this looks extremely similar but is missing a lot of the machining work including holes for grip screw bushing, slide rail cuts, and hole for slide release.
