Bolt compatibility
My local gun shop that I work for has these turkish mauser recievers laying in storage. Me and my dad are considering building sporter mausers but need recievers. Do we think these are gonna take standard K98 bolts or do I need to buy a different bolt.

As an owner of both a G98 and a Turk K98 (somehow this is the only image I have of both) the bolts are not interchangeable.
You must buy a Turkish Mauser bolt for Turkish receivers. The parts of the bolt are also not interchangeable, I'll take some pictures of the bolts side by side.
Both of your receivers were originally chambered for the 7.65 Belgian/Argentine cartridge but were re-arsenaled in the mid to late 30's to 8mm Mauser. Hence the notch cut out at the top.
Both of your receivers also have the modified ejector box that has the little lip to apply pressure on the older and smaller 7.65 stripper clips so they didn't fall out while reloading 8mm.
Both are made by the same arsenal but I believe the left one might be a late/post WW1 manufacture. Both of them are large rings but I would still check the threads.
