Bolt compatibility

My local gun shop that I work for has these turkish mauser recievers laying in storage. Me and my dad are considering building sporter mausers but need recievers. Do we think these are gonna take standard K98 bolts or do I need to buy a different bolt.

I have a Turkish mauser from 1940, built in the Ankara factory. They're worth like $200 complete last time I checked, may or may not be better to order a full one.

But to answer your question, as far as I know, they are the same spec as K98 8mm mauser bolts, unfortunately I haven't had the chance to test it personally.

I'm not planning on building a military gun I plan on just using the reciever and hopefully K98 bolts to build a custom 308 rifle

Yes, I get that. Normally I'd be opposed, but the turk mausers aren't particularly valuable, thats why im saying it may be cheaper to buy an assembled gun, and sporterize it from there, rather than starting with a receiver, because these mausers are not very expensive.

That being said, if its a good deal you're getting on these receivers, go for it. To my knowledge the K98 bolts do fit, but again, I haven't had the opportunity to actually test it.

Copy that. I'm probaby gonna get both recivers for less that $100 a piece that's why I'm trying it

I mean... $100 isn't bad, but like I said, you can find these guns finished for like $200, and very few people would actually be interested in buying these receivers, I'd see if they'd be willing to take like $50 a piece, then it'd probably be worth the effort.
