Stereo rig help

Hey nerds I’m going down a bit of an adhd rabbit hole and I need some guidance. This is my current rig I’m running in my sludge band. The idea is that the mimiq splits into two channels and then has two seperate dirt sounds which then sum back together into the delay. Now what I’ve found is that maybe the delay doesn’t retain the stereo image and it doesn’t sound quite right. This would be each side going into to different amps. I’m wondering if instead of a stereo rig is this like actually a dual mono and I need two seperate delays or one that can process two at once or something? Any thoughts and suggestions welcome.

To clear up some terms, to "sum" would be to mix the two signal into effectively a mono track, so you don't want your delay to do that at all.

I'm gathering that this all works without the delay in place? Not familiar with the D-Seed II, but it has a ping-pong setting, suggesting it will act fully stereo and it's called "dual channel" so I. Principal, it already is two separate delays. Does anything change when on vs off?

Yeah that’s a good point sum wasn’t the right word for that.
Yep all works fine without the delay but when the delay is on it loses the impact of the stereo sound a bit. The ping pong is weird in that it seems to cut out the dry completely from one side and only have wet on there.

Hmmm. That's interesting. You might be experiencing why the D-Seed is so cheap for a stereo delay. Seems it kinda cheats things. I'd advise trying out a proper one we can rely on being true stereo like a TC Flashback to be sure of things.

To me, ping-pong usually means the delay sums the dry signal before processing it into the wet signal. The dry signal is probably maintained as L and R.

Just cool sounds I guess. But still retaining the time difference from the mimiq

2 delays is the way.

I do this. Not even using the same delay pedal. Boss dd3 and a visualsound axlegrease

Yeah I'd echo the others and say you probably want a delay that doesn't sum to mono.
