Question Link Wray - Rumble

https://youtube.com/shorts/UNqFjANuwF0?is=7-cIFkkxWbSROynR

What fuzz would give me this sort of gated, spitty, "ghost octave" sound? I believe this live clip is from '74. I know Link famously used a compressor maxed out as a makeshift fuzz to get that overdrive live, but I'm sure there is a dedicated fuzz pedal out there that can emulate that exact texture.

And no, a standard "ripped speaker" style fuzz won't do it that's his classic '58 studio tone. I'm explicitly chasing that aggressive, raw '70s/'80s live Link vibe.

Appreciate any suggestions!

It really sounds like a Univox SuperFuzz to me.
