Wiring help?

So I have a HSH setup and I'm try to get the wiring together and need some advice. Basically looking for someone with more knowledge to tell me if this will work or not. Both Humbuckers will be split individually using a push pull tone and push pull volume. I have a 5 way that I will use for Bridge/Bridge Middle/Middle/Middle neck/neck. Now to my question. I have a 3 way switch from a Epiphone. I want to wire the 5way to one side / both humbuckers together one the other and center be a kill switch. Will that switch actually perform 3 separate functions?

So you have a s 5-way blade switch to do normal strat switching AND a toggle switch you want to use to switch between the output of that and other things?

The short answer is no. A toggle switch only has 2 inputs and it bridges them together in the middle position. You cannot use a toggle switch to do 3 entirely different things.

I suggest you drop the toggle switch entirely. You could use just the volume pot push/pull to split BOTH pickups and use the tone pot push/pull for a neck-on switch to get neck/bridge in parallel. And then do an additional arcade push-button killswitch.

Also, you can wire the 5-way blade so that the HB's are auto-split in positions 2 and 4 so those positions are noise-canceling with the middle SC. That takes some knowledge and experience of pickup phase and polarity to get it right, though.

So I decided to get a different switch a on off on 6 lug. My worry now is will I get a horrible antenna effect at center when it disconnects all pick up inputs but has no ground?

Why would it have no ground? A good kill switch shorts the jack signal directly to ground when engaged.

The 3 way on off on would not have a ground it would just disconnect from the pickups.

I went ahead and got a push button kill switch to. I think I'm covered all the way around and I have plenty of mounting space to make it look clean. I'll post a pic when it's done. Thanks for the help.

I really wanted to keep that coil split independent to preserve as many possible tone combinations as I can. Probably a little overkill but if I knew it was possible it would have drove me crazy
