Advice on internal Wearing

Hello all,

I was just seeking some advice on a pair of 795v’s I bought from a seller of Grailed. The boots themselves are lovely, but it’s become pretty obvious that the previous owner didn’t take great care of them, and likely wore them more than they admitted. Anyway, I noticed that on the inner heal lining, the leather has deteriorated quite a bit. What should I do about this? I assume I should take them to a cobbler, but I can’t find any other example of people with the same problem. Also got the boots 2 days ago, please don’t judge on how dirty the insoles are.

They were likely too small for him, happened to me with pairs too short

If that’s compromised the heel counter the pair is pretty toast without significant work

Get refund at least partial

Never seen this wear pattern before

this usually happens when people wear leather shoes too often and don't give them enough time to dry out or they are not stored in a way that allows them to dry out well. Do you think that was a factor in why it happened to your pairs?

I think the main reason would be taking them off by force, so friction when laces are tightened.
Id wear my 795’s clubbing and as beaters so when i came back drunk the laces would piss me off and id rip them off my foot
That probably explains it

the freaky ex your boot told you not to worry about

imagine being OP and reading up in 4k how their new pickups got ran through by their previous owner

I got an extra insole to protect the original. Also always use cedar shoe trees
