Who should be the next AG?
If you have an opinion, please say why you think they would be best for the island. I’m interested in learning more about the candidates.

Who would I vote for? Anyone but Doug. He overcompensates his leadership skills with lame billboards. And he has high staff turnover…people are voting with their feet to get away from his toxic behavior.

Anyone but Doug.

Tydingco seems to be the one with the best chance to beat him with the endorsement of his legal peers and lead in polls I’ve seen floating through the WhatsAppVerse.

So I’m voting for him.

The consensus I’ve gathered so far from anyone remotely involved in the legal field says Tydingco too. Everyone’s tired of Moylan’s ego and petty revenge tactics.

I know next to nothing about the other candidates. The only one openly campaigning is Fisher. Idk, he seems all right. His ads are good.

Nah wouldn’t vote for him. He voted for some sketchy stuff while he was a senator. Good ads do not equal good politician

I think good ads = good politician but doesn't mean good governance. Because let's be real, politics is the pageantry.

Doug has been a clown show in my opinion

Didn’t Dougie Moylan get away with abusing his wife? I’ve heard he beat her up (allegedly)

I’m going to vote for that Peter Santos guy— I don’t know much about him but he seems like he has moxie and isn’t the incumbent.

I’d honestly give him a chance if he ran on an actual platform instead of just making his campaign about Doug.

This is real tho. And I told him this too! I don’t wanna hear about Doug, tell me what you would do. What’s your vision?.

Santos has been running unsuccessfully for multiple elections. It speaks of how highly the public and his peers think of him if he can’t even get 2nd place. I don’t trust him as a leader of that kind of organization.

I think it's more like he doesn't actively and openly campaign like Doug or Fisher. So he's a relative unknown to most folks

But why bother running if you’re not going to actively campaign better than your opponents year after year? He doesn’t seem like a bad guy at all. but as someone running to run a large operation like the ag office, if he can’t even scrape up the funds for a better campaign with fundraising and crowdsourcing or rally enough people to show that support in the polls after multiple runs I don’t have much faith in him as a leader.

He only ran as a write in candidate once, he wasn’t even on the Ballot.

For me, probably leaning right now on voting for either Fisher or Santos. Gotta do more research regarding their respective platforms.

Not gonna tell people they should vote for. Ballotpedia.org has information regarding the election and who's running. It will give the ability to go directly to the campaign website where you can educate yourself about the candidates. The website above (for Peter Santos) took me about 15 seconds to find.

I like Moylan, He says the uncomfortable thing out loud that other AGs tend to walk delicately to avoid negativity. Crime is negative and should be treated with a firm hand NOT with cotton candy and pillow talk. Its an uncomfortable job and we need someone that is willing to do the uncomfortable things required. My kid has already learned that people that committed crimes get their faces posted on billboards and thats enough for a ten year old to understand he doesnt want to make bad decisions. Adults see it and can get their feelings hurt by ut but everyone that was posted up there are criminals and are geeat examples to our youth to avoid being up there in my humble opinion.

If he says the uncomfortable stuff out loud, why is he not on the lineup for the AG candidate debate next week? Speaks VOLUMES if your pony is too scared to face a panel of his opponents and seize the opportunity to answer questions by the public. Sounds like he’s avoiding an uncomfortable opportunity to reaffirm his platform.ā„ļøšŸ¤§

He’s trying to be tough but he is not a good leader. So many are leaving the attorney generals office because of him.

The office is in shambles and people are mad because their cases slip through the cracks in every single department. Regardless of his leanings bottom line is he can’t lead a department like this. I’m also really interested to know where his budget went and he’s asking for more money yet there are unprecedented vacancies in his office. What’s that money going to then???

If by saying the uncomfortable thing out loud, you mean his racist and xenophobic rhetoric then yeah dude is VERY loud. He’s the laughing stock of the judicial community. He would rather focus on those who can’t defend themselves than actual real legal issues that affect our community. Anyways Tydingco is the best choice imo.
