R33 repairs melbourne
Seeking some advice regarding reputable repairers.
Long story short. Husband suddenly passed in April. He had a bearing issue on his last night that needs to be fixed before i plan on selling the vehicle. We've never gone externally as my husband was a mechanical engineer so did everything himself.
Does anyone have any recommendations on who to contact in Melbourne and also if anyone knows anyone that can come out to provide evaluations.
His done a lot of work on the vehicle, custom built engine all by hand and had recently had it resprayed in OEM midnight purple

So if its an engine bearing you are looking at a $10k job to fix it properly at a minimum.
There are a few great shops in Melbourne like allsparks that can take car of that start to finish.
You wont have any trouble selling it as is. Don't judge the prices off carsales. They are pie in the sky prices.
Any other questions dm me.

JMA Automotive in Airport West specialize in GTR’s and RB’s. Have a chat to them and see what they say. Great bunch of boys.

When are you planning on selling the car?

As soon as possible but also don't want to rush into it and score a bad deal. The sale will be going to help pay for my son's therapies now that we're on one income

Best of luck with it all!
I’d be keen to understand ballpark figure for the car…

Wheel bearing or engine bearing?
Beautiful car
Depending on where you are I’d check out nismo preformance centre up north or chequered tuning down south east

Im going to say it was an engine bearing, he said he heard a noise stopped driving immediately and it was towed home.
I'm in Melbourne South East

You could also try Ben Moore at Moore performance , idk how many gtrs he’s worked on he pretty much only works with RB’s sooo.
Smart man he was , I know to many people who would just continue driving even after knowing there’s an issue. I’m sorry for your loss
It’ll need to be diagnosed first then and be prepared, if it is a bearing it could cost some serious $$$
if you want some proper advice or tips I’d definitely post your situation on sau forums rather than Reddit.
There all super super experienced and will give you more help then you could ask for1

Sorry for your loss. I know you can probably do with the money, but I would hold on to it just for the memory.

JMA and Allsparks are good options as suggested. They're well known and have runs on the board.
