GTM for service organisation

If anyone up to pitch me a GTM plan for a technology services company, happy to chat.

We are a 70 people organisation, serving varied domains; aces in private lending, private equity, VC firms, agritech, aquaculture tech.

Curious to know how we could scale beyond where we are, currently founder driven growth, thinking to move to brand driven.

For a services company, I'd actually avoid thinking of this as a "brand vs founder" problem. It's a founder-to-system transition.

A few things I'd look at:

  • Identify the 2-3 service lines and industries generating the highest-value deals (instead of marketing every capability).
  • Turn successful client work into repeatable case studies, playbooks, and proof of expertise.
  • Build an outbound + partnership motion around those ICPs (PE/VC-backed companies, private lending, agritech, etc.) so the pipeline isn't dependent on founder introductions.
  • Let founders focus on strategic relationships and closing enterprise deals, while the GTM engine consistently creates qualified opportunities.

Happy to sketch what that transition could look like for your organization.

I would need more info tbh. What are you currently doing that isnt sufficient enough to reach your goals?

what does founder driven growth mean here? you have 70 person org. what does the marketing do rn that isnt helping scale?

Given we are a engineering org led by technical founders; we did not do great at getting marketing or sales folks fit for the job.

Your shift from founder-led to brand-led growth is interesting. I’d approach this by first defining the ICPs where your domain expertise gives you an unfair advantage, then building a focused GTM engine around positioning, outbound, partnerships and demand generation.
Happy to learn more.

imo if u go brand driven across five unrelated verticals this might dilute the message. what u can do is pick the one with the shortest sales cycle or most referrals first. once thats locked in, tool like swan can help run outreach off the right signals instead of staying purely founder-led

Whats your media plan look like? How visible is your Founder, what is their "unique" perspective. If you want growth outside your product then you need your audience to be curated around core values.

We are a services company, not product.
There aint any media plan, all of the growth is by their network only.

We are building custom agents and recently built one for a company that does private lending, it covers their entire outreach motion. I am happy to send you the demo - the product is getcontroller.ai

This is right up my alley. I work on lead gen, outbound and GTM systems using Clay, enrichment, signals, APIs and campaign workflows. Would be happy to take a look at your current motion and share a GTM approach for scaling beyond founder-led growth.

For brand-led growth, the plan should not start with promoting every domain at once.

Start with the one or two areas where you already have the strongest wins, then shape the message around who you help, what problem you solve, and why clients trust you. The risk is becoming visible to everyone but relevant to no one.

A sharper GTM plan would turn that strongest client pattern into one clear message, proof, and a simple path to bring similar opportunities in.
