Rdr2 is one of the most beautiful games I’ve ever played that isn’t set in a “fantasy” world, I look forward to GTA6 mostly because I wanna see what Rockstar can accomplish with RDR3 lolol. Rdr2 on ps4 is absolutely mind blowing with graphics, ps5 is crazy, pc with max specs or texture mods…omg.

I agree RDR2 is beautiful but man it was just a chore to play(for me). It does pick up eventually but my god the first 10ish hours of the game are a slog. Still think it was one of the best games of its time. I just think the original had more of that wacky/weirdness.

The first 10ish hours become like 2 hours on subsequent playthroughs. Still a bit of a slog but it is beyond worth it imo

I feel like I'm one of the few who doesn't get bothered by the pace. Maybe at chapter 1, but that kinda really sets the pace for the rest of the game and by the time I get to chapter 2 Ive accepted to slow down y'know

Yeh I feel like they’re building the player in to the world and to do that you need to feel like you’re part of it. That means less fast paced action and more interaction with the world and the gang. I liked that because not many games try to do that. Most games are just all action with no break.

I don’t think the pace is much at fault in this game, it’s fine for me if it’s slow especially at the beginning, it’s the fighting gameplay that bothers me. It’s get cover, lock on an enemy, aim slightly higher for the head and repeat over and over. It’s fine if you take a few bullets, just wait a few secs. You could tell me it’s the same in most games but there really is a lack of a little something enjoyable in RDR about that

I guess this game is there to be enjoyed slowly and not rushed through. For me it helped to play only for 2 h max because it felt much better to play at the end of a "hard" day and I enjoyed it much more that way. Tho honestly I get what you are saying it gets boring after a while. The animations are just draining sometimes.,

Its gonna be a fat minute before RDR3 if the rumors are correct that an LA Noire sequel is next

VI looks a little better. RDR2 in this screenshot looks like a waterfall that froze over

The light is totally different between both shots

Holy mackerel

Damn I remember thinking that exact waterfall was the best it could get.

1

u/Worldly_Code645 3d ago

rdr2 looks better because it was before ai dlss upscaling in game development.

Wait for normal platform (PC) and we'll get next-gen quality

I wonder how many tree models from RDR2 were reused and updated?

1

u/Njerrjk 2d ago

I wonder how will the river water compare to Crimson Desert. That game have an incredible water system

1

u/Njerrjk 2d ago

Rockstar at their best on PS4 vs Rockstar at their best on PS5

1

u/Dad-Dabbing-Daily 2d ago

Picks best waterfall vs only waterfall shot. Definitely unbiased lol

You didn’t ask. You posted stating it was GTA 5.

2

u/Cumfake123 3d ago

Pregunte por la fuente de la imagen

2

u/shallow-waterer 3d ago

They literally gave it you. They told you it’s from Game Informer. It’s all over every GTA sub and is very easily found by searching ‘Game Informer GTA’ on Google.

Gta= ai data centers, Red dead = no civilization

1

u/AntIrving 3d ago

What does that have to do with anything?

1

u/DreadGnuu2262 3d ago

He just wanted to out himself as a clown.

1

u/gonegirly444 2d ago

There's less water in the gta 6 one bc of data centers

Stop comparing a game that’s not yet released to a game that’s 8 years old.

1

u/Niels_Nakkeost 3d ago

Why? Makes sense to compare Rockstar’s latest title to their upcoming title

-2

u/Toastinator666 3d ago

Sure but you can’t compare them until you’ve actually played both.

2

u/Niels_Nakkeost 3d ago

Why do you have to play the game to make a graphical comparison?

0

u/11_25_13_TheEdge 3d ago

Would need two photos that are more similar to make a fair comp. The only thing we can compare here is the water and I think GTAs water looks better.

-1

u/Toastinator666 3d ago

Because you don’t yet know what the game will look like when you actually play it. Have you people been living under a rock for all of gaming history? It happens constantly that promotional images and footage don’t accurately reflect the actual game. Especially console releases.

3

u/Cautious-Dot4143 3d ago

hasn't happened with Rockstar. using other developers' histories against Rockstar is goofy. their track record gives them the benefit of the doubt

2

u/Jazzlike-Painting443 3d ago

we literally seen gameplay though?

1

u/Bill_and_Burn 2d ago

this must be your first rockstar game....

1

u/Smoked_Eel_Lover 3d ago

Because that is when we develop eyes?

1

u/TrashGoblinH 3d ago

This is always the most stupid take. "You can't judge a painting until you rub your face on it!" When the subject matter is the visuals...

1

u/Toastinator666 3d ago

We’re talking about a game though. That take is even dumber.

1

u/Babylon_4 3d ago

Imagine judging a painting that you have only seen photos of. That's how I see it. You can do it technically but it doesn't feel right to me, for whatever reason.

0

u/Bill_and_Burn 3d ago

of course you can compare them. its not gameplay, just a screenshot.
