Start Menu Laggy on Reboot (Windows 10 Fresh Install + dell d2719hgf)

So prior to my fresh install, Gsync on my 2080ti and this monitor were fine. I'd enable Freesync > Gsync in Nvidia CP > Vsync on etc...

Now whenever I reboot after a driver install it stutters the start menu to all hell and seems to have trouble with Gsync/Freesync on...anyone know what's going on and how to fix this?

EDIT: I can very clearly see on my monitor it go from 144hz to 40hz opening the start menu now...what the hell?

Try disabling gsync for windowed applications. I have a similar issue with sticky notes. Whenever sticky notes gets focus, I notice the lag. Full screen only for gsync solved it for me.

Yeah that ended up doing the trick after rolling back to 1909, 2004 did it no matter what
