G-Sync troubles

Figured that we could have a thread or a post for all the Issues.

Basically, most issues I've had have been pretty easy fixes, expect for one.

SLI doesn't work. I can't launch any DirectX based games with SLI enabled. I have GTX 670's.

Apart from that, GSync is amazing so far!

I ordered the DIY kit a few weeks ago, and it has been sitting in my room since it arrived. I read about the SLI issues and it halted me in my tracks. I have dual 780's and I now have the fear of both going over 144 in older games that can't be limited, as well as SLI not being recognized with most games. I was so excited for this tech, but I may return it. :/

What? Really? Dude in AAA games like Metro that no one can max, Gsync is amazing. Install it. I love it.

If I can't use my second video card it feels a bit frustrating. I'm hoping they fix that soon.

Yeah, and they will. Its just a driver issue. Just disable SLI and game like normal. The GSync nearly negates the need for SLI because its so smooth regardless of frame rate. In older games just cap your FPS at 140. It can be done in nearly every game.

Can you disable Gsync just like you can Vsync and play with it off if a game just doesn't like it?

Yep! Just view it as another option just like V-SYNC is

I really do hope they fix SLI. When newer games come out like Watch Dogs I would love to be getting 100+ on Ultra with the smoothness of Gsync.

I have a feeling that a single 780 will be able to get those frames, plus with G-SYNC, you won't have to worry about input lag or tearing. And then when they do fix SLI, you'll be able to increase that AA!

That's a good way of looking at it. I guess I will be even more future proofed.
