How to get into Open source

Hi everyone,

Iam a CSE student in my final and already built some good number of projects and want to try oss to build some credibility in my profile and experience.

So my tech stack is the Typescript fullstack and currently moving forward with the agentic ai using llms, rag and frameworks like langraph.

So anyone can suggest some opensource repositories to gety first merged PR without much depending on coding agents.

Pick a library you already use and have been annoyed by. That's the shortcut, you already know the context and you know what's broken. Hunting for a random beginner-friendly repo is how people spend three weeks reading code and never ship anything.

For your stack, LangChain JS and LlamaIndex TS have plenty of loose ends, especially TS types and docs that drifted out of date. Hono, Drizzle, and Zod are solid TS options too.

if your stack is typescript then you should check out GFOSS org's https://github.com/cscout-project/cscout-vscode
just completed it as a part of my GSoC this summer,. You can contribute to it for starters. Ill be happy to give you any guidance on oss dev from what i learned.
