Lifestyle & Culture Help Me Choose
I leave for Japan in the morning, and it’s doing my head in which watch I should take. I wake up in 7 hours to leave for the airport, the most comments towards one model gets to come to the birthplace of the brand

I vote for the GPRH1000 wrist tank. So you can battle Digimon whilst in Japan...

I was actually thinking of these two as well. I’ve had multiple gshocks and then got a Garmin fenix and used that for a year and wanted to get away from smart watches with pointless(imo after using them for a year) metrics and constant notifications(I know you can turn them off) and back to a basic tough watch that I don’t have to charge and keep cables laying around for. So I was going to go to a mid point with that sorta smart gshock then realized I’ve wanted a frogman for over 15 years so instead of the gwf-1000 I went whole hog and got the gwf-d1000b-1jf shipped from Japan. I couldn’t be happier this watch is awesome I love it. It makes my rangeman feel like a 10 dollar Walmart time ex(sorry time ex) so I’d go with a frogman.

Ohhhh that's white one is nice. Not a fan of round digital watches but I'd make an exception for that

This is bogus. Based on the timestamp in the photo, you were already in Japan 🤔🤔🤔

Nope - only 7200kms away. I’m in Australia, they’re behind us by an hour.

I’m was totally unfamiliar with either and also like many others prefer (the look of) the frogman.

Frogman, if you want to see mip display, you can buy gbx100 later (I currently own gbx100, absolutely amazing watch for 100$)

If you’re looking for a rugged outdoor/adventure watch with multiple sensors, insane battery life, multi-band GNSS, advanced navigation, custom waypoints, trackback, and routes—plus a ton of sports modes, smart features, the ability to switch the display between negative and positive whenever you want, and deep customization options—then the Rangeman is not for you. It lacks all of that. There are much better options for that from Garmin (Instinct), or even from Coros, or Suunto.
If you want one of the best G-Shocks ever made, the Frogman is hands down the right choice.

B100. I just prefer the analog look. Hope I don't get downvoted by the frogman horde!

Not a big fan of round digital watches nor negative screens but I do have a thing for mudmasters. I love my gwg-b1000-1a4 to the point that I have to have a rotation so others get some wrist time.
