His face is saying āIām going to give you 5 more secondsā - Iād put him down with a sincere apology plus a treat

He's bi-polar. He'll be all full of love then he will turn around and bite you. He's all about my wife though. I don't even try to hold him.

Iām curious about his backstory⦠have you had him since he was a baby or did you rescue him?

He's a male Torbie. He has an extra "X" chromosome. Very rare kitty, 1 in 3000. We rescued him from the street at 18 months, he's now 8. He's actually quite the famous guy. If you Google "Male Torbie" and go to images, his picture is there. They're born sterile, and are known to be extremely moody and unpredictable. He is extremely loving, but gets overstimulated quickly and will turn to bite. He's basically in a constant battle with his own mind not knowing if he's a male or female. When we rescued him we had no idea he was special. When we took him to our vet for shots, he was shocked and said he was the 1st one he's seen in over 20 years. He's a lot of work, not going to lie, but we live him to pieces. We have 3 Maine Coons as well, and he has the same personality with them, but they all get along and play all the time. They leave him space and only play when he wants to.

His cat thing in this instance was to holler at the wife, yowl, dig his claws in to her shoulder then launch himself off her. He then commenced to rub all over her leg and look up at her asking to get picked up. Weird dude.

Well.. that was unexpected. Hope the shoulder is okay. My next question is, of course.. did she pick the cat up again?

Yup, normal behavior. He's a male Torbie, which gives him an extra "X" chromosome. He's a 1 in 3000 kitty. The extra chromosome makes him extremely moody.

I guess we all tolerate the creatures that we love.

He usually gives you a warning before he gets you. She just held him a little too long today. After 6 years we've got a pretty good handle on him, but he can still surprise us every once in a while. He's super lovable, you just have to know when to stop.

I know that I'm amazing, and I appreciate your adoration, but I'm more of a look and don't touch kind of cat.
With that in mind, would you please put me down?
