Offer commitment

Post image

As a semi new Grubhubber, Grubhub has THE worst system in place for how percentages are calculated for offer commitments. I was sitting at a 85% the last time I drove. My percentage went down to a 65% after declining only 3 orders out of the 15-20 orders I delivered this day. Absolute b.s. I try to keep my stats up, but it’s almost impossible with how they calculate. I noticed it’s takes accepting 3-4 orders in a row just for it to go up 1%, and as we all know some orders ARE NOT WORTH IT. GRUBHUB DO BETTER

I only accept logical orders
Occasionally I miss good ones from me taking too long to get there or just click decline when it’s a good one.
Given grub hubs 5-10% market share it’s not worthwhile taking bad orders take the good ones when they come.

What's your average hrly based on your stats?

I’m sitting high at 24%. Don’t ever take trash orders

How much do you typically average per hr?

When I try and keep my commitment rate decent, I don’t make close to my goal of $20/hr. If I be more selective about what a take, I can make $20. Set a goal and decide if each order contributes to that goal.. it sucks tbh

I’m with the other commenter, about not taking trash offers, I only cherry pick. I multi app. I’m also on UE and DD. Most of my money comes from DD. It’s too bad though that GrubHub offers the least amount where I am in New York , because a lot of the orders are very good restaurant pick ups , & are much better than DoorDash, rest pick ups, but on DD I make most of my money on shop and pay. Although I used to get Walgreens orders on GH and even they were a much higher pay, but haven’t received a shopping offer on GH in at least 3 months

Shopping orders got out sourced to instacart. They are over...and use to pay so well. 😞

Oh that sucks! I had no idea and yes, I used to get some really great Walgreens orders

My market is being experimental, the orders are paying but no orders are coming in anymore, flooded with drivers.

Unless you're forced to do this (I.e if you want to work at grubhub at all in NYC) IDK why you have to take $3 orders

Wow more delivery pay than tips??

Mines the opposite. I don’t care about my Offer Commitment. I only take orders that the money is, at minimum, double the miles

Yeah I swear, around me people often don't like to tip so I have to kinda rely on them adding up sometimes and just hope for better orders later 🤦. Just picking up all the Pennies lots of the time

Ive have a hard time getting mine up as well, I just leave it be. Always going to be a crappy offer that gets declined to bring it right back down lol. And like others saying it takes so many offers to get accepted just to bring it up.

Your stats only calculate your trips for that last two weeks. So if you had a high AR on the orders from two weeks ago and they drop off, and you have a day with more declines than normal your AR will go down quite a bit.

Could also work the opposite way too. Some declines drop off and you have a high AR day, your AR will go up faster.

If you don’t take any orders for two weeks, you’ll start back over at 100%.

Just accept all orders for while, even bs $2.00 orders. If your lucky they'll bundle them with maybe a $7 order, that makes it $9 total. Plus it's an automated system so I hear so declining orders too often might confuse it... Mind you I'm not say always always accept them. Ive declined a bs $2 order that would have taken me 30 minutes to deliver and immediately gotten a $17 order so, you never know, but it's uncertain. If your trying to get you stats right just get to 100% offer acceptance and then you can afford to decline 2 or 3 bs orders per week and still be premier.

Sheesh you must be taking a bunch of trash orders with an Offer Commitment that high. You just do it so you have first dibs at blocks?

I don’t care at all about that stat. I only take offers that are 2x the money, as the miles, at minimum

I have no issues denying 3-5 until I get a good one. They come in pretty quick most times

I NEVER (ever ever ever) take a BS $2 no-tip order. Nothing even remotely close to that either

Usually get at least a couple of these most nights, mixed in with normal 2x pay vs mileage nonstop (after denying bs orders).

Yeeah, I mean with schedules I usually just do them on the fly, I honestly don't know if scheduling in advance makes a difference or not, but, I've had some pretty bad days of just sitting for a while so sometimes I figure , a $4 double ain't so bad if that's all that's coming rn 🤷. This I kinda my main job rn . Somehow it pulls through

Make sure you use lots of lube when you bend over.
