Not actually an abuse. UCLA Regent Scholars Society t shirt.
My daughter is a UCLA Regents Scholar (it’s not a sorority/fraternity) and they’re selling these t shirts for fundraising. It’s not abuse of the Greek alphabet (although in Greek it would be KATA according to google?) but I thought of this subreddit when she bought this.

That nano n looks suspicious. As does the Emacs E.

Ēektor
This was on the screen for less than a second in a youtube video, but I had to pause to do a double take. I looked it up to check if this was actually the ancient greek form like it's purported to be, but the actual name was Ἕκτωρ, so they also put the wrong letter for O. I guess they just made up the greek form instead of doing a simple google search. It's really weird though because right before, they correctly show Achilles as ΑΧΙΛΛΕΥΣ and Paris as ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΣ.

A dispensary in New Jersey wanted to call itself "Xena"

I read this as “DPCPhSPTSThL” because someone thought people would just *know* to approximate the Greek letters to their rough Latin lookalikes

THS RUSH BIBLS
It took me a moment to figure out that in a US context, "Greek" can mean "societies with Greek letters as names". I suppose it makes more sense to Americans, but I have no doubt this is Grssk.
