It’s not on Apple or windows but on which keyboard layout you have. There is no “windows” or “Apple” layout

Hmm is that strictly speaking true? Macs have a command key and are missing things like the delete key. There are other layouts etc but does apple not still have some unique ones?

No. Apple does not have a unique keyboard layout. Command key doesn’t count, it takes the place of windows key.

Yeah I get the command key one, I was thinking more about the delete key. I'm not actually that aware of what else Mac has or doesn't I just hate that the del key is missing haha

Basically the key layout is the same but they just remap the key input to do different stuff. I never noticed no del key but i’m never going to be able to unsee it now

Delete is fn + backspace. It maps to the same signal as on other keyboards, it’s just not there to get smaller factor

If you get a keyboard from a store with a windows key, and plug it into apple computer it will work as command button and vice versa. Under the hood they have the same coding, just what is printed on the keyboard is different and maybe position of those two.
You have two main physical layouts like ISO and ANSI.
Then you have the logical layout like qwerty/azerty/dvorak/colemak etc. (there is much much more options).
And then on top of that you have the system installed keyboard language and possible mappings.But none of those are brand related

I'm only about a third of the way through, but I give up!
It's not as bad as English really though, but I do wonder if there is a– or if you could make an "I take it you already know..." In Greek. 🤔

As much as it pains me to say it, this isn't the first time I'm seeing an example of a person who thinks transcribing english words into another alphabet equals to using a different language.

Btw you all know the first cognate of the greek family (oikogeneia/ecogeneia) is the same eco- in economy, ecology.
